Update Policy

In order to improve stability and security, updates are released with a delay after the official release of Home Assistant. This allows possible update issues to be identified and resolved and updates to be provided to users. Highlights:

  • Home Assistant Core updates are released once a month to the latest current version from the previous month

For example: in March the official versions 2023.3.0, 2023.3.1, 2023.3.2 were released, in April the official version 2023.4.0 was released, with 2023.3.2 to be released in the fork in April

  • Home Assistant Supervisor updates are released as new versions are released, with a delay of several days or more

  • Home Assistant OS updates are released as needed and as renewed updates to the base system

  • if problems and bugs in the code are detected, updates may be postponed

  • in case of critical vulnerabilities, updates are released out of queue
